History of Jadoons

The Jadoon are descended from Ashraf also known as jadoon (Gadoon) of the Panni clan of the Ghurghusht Afghan. Panni, Kakar, Naghar and Dawi were four sons of Daney son of Ismail, also known as Ghurghusht. The people of this tribe call themselves jadoons, but Eastern Afghans who change the letter S`h into K`h and “j” into “G” style them Gadoons as the letter J and G are interchangeable in the Pushto language, just as jillani and Gillani are synonyms. The Jadoons were freedom fighters and they showed bravery against their rivals, especially the Sikhs and the British with other prominent Pashtun tribes of the region like the Swati, Tareens Khaji khail and Shilmani. Their leader Sakhi Jan Jadoon had been martyred during the freedom efforts against the Sikhs in the 19th century

My comment on why “Jadoon marry in jadoons”
Jadoons wewre wariors . they helped theose tribes who were subsided or crushed by the powerful tribes. This was why jadoon tribe arrived to fight and give relief to all those tribes who were subsided and dis graced by other powerful neighbouring clans. The arrival of jadoons to swabi and Abbot abad are the examples of helping weak tribes always attacked by the powerfuls. the jadoon s secured their warior blood not to giving their daughters or not got married their sons out of jadoons.this was the main cause that they secured their inheritted values.but as the time passed and the circumstances changed now jadoon has got their relations to all the comunities in and ou of pakistan.however jadoons are different in their habbits and manners they are pure pakhtoons and real Muslims.If an enemy come to their door steps they never hurt him during the boundries of their home. they are sincre in friend ship and bitter in enimity. Jadoon is a Pashtun tribe. They are very patriotic by nature and they sacrifice their lives for the sake of their beloved country .They are divided into two great clans namely Salar and Mansoor.

Very delighted to know of such a website, how ever this post or rather which looks like a blog page, does not give enough information about our tribe. the website does not give a complete history and detail of what we hve accomplished and what were our mistakes, since trust me alot of people who do not know us want to know. and our clan history is something not kept sacred during the upbringing…Kindly update the website to a professional and historic one to enlighten others.

Assalam o Alaikum to all, Nice to read about the Jadoons. Name of my village is not in the above list and also so many places are missing where Jadoon’s are living. Jadoons are also living in large no in Rawalpindi. They have also won local body elections in Rawalpindi like Babar Jadoon from Hazara colony and Gulfraz Jadoon from Mohanpura. Jadoons live in large no in different places of Rawalpindi like Chungi No. 22, Mirza Street, Tench Batta, Girja Road, Bakra mandi, Dhamial, Rawal Town, Mughal Abad, Dhoke Chudhrian, Aria Mohallah, Sirsyed Choke, Dhoke Ratta, Mohanpura, Dhoke Hassu, Pir Wadhai, Haji camp, Chohr, Westridge. Hazara colony has been named by the Jadoons. If they are united they can win a seat of MNA or MPA from Rawalpindi.

Salam to all Jadoons! I belong to well known and beutiful valley of Kakul situated near PMA, approximately 8-9 KM away from Abbottabad. Dr. Omair Khan belong to a noble family – he knows my whereabout. I am working abroad but honestly I miss everything of my beloved country. I always pray May Allah give us unity, love among each other and most important an opportunity to serve our country.

I am from Kakul, I know Dr. Omair Khan and Shaukat A. Khan – both are gentlemen and tribe lovers. I also love my tribe and for sure to my country. Being Jadoon, let’s be honest, hard working, loving and serving to the nation.
I urge all young Jadoons to concentrate on their education; be away from conflicts – bad society and must leave no stone unturned to achieve their prime objectves and goals.
